The only balloon arch frame you'll ever need!
Share
Listen-- I have always DESPISED traditional walk through balloon arches. ALWAYS. Like I love the look! But do I want to build one?! No. I don't even want to respond to an inquiry for one, not because they're hard to make...because clients never ever realize how much work they are and why they cost what they do.
They are probably the #1 reason I hear "that much for balloons?!".
Yes-- that much for balloons.
Materials required? A lot.
Time on site to build it? A lot.
Expertise to do it right and make sure it actually stays in place and stays nice and has the right shape and fluff? A LOT.
That last one is debatable and not always important to a client, but either way, materials and on site time alone justify the price. And I guarantee you're under charging. I guarantee you don't know how to charge. That you're getting beat up by a prospective client for quoting such a ridiculous number. That you're lowering your price, spending way too much time on site building, missing important questions to make sure everything goes according to plan, guessing on your materials quantity & cluster recipe... And most likely using a cheap flimsy frame or trying to DIY one.
I'm here to tell you there is SUCH A BETTER WAY!!!!! Like so so much better. It starts with the frame you use, and then your strategy. Great news, I have resources for both.
The ONLY frame I will use is this one. It's aluminum so it's lightweight but sturdy, and the base plates are already weighted. It is perfect for inside or outside, and if you need more weight on it you can try something like this.
My favorite part? It snaps together in segments which means I can build and detail it at home/studio and then transport it in segments to the event & just snap it all together. Yeah, it is THAT EASY!
Now for strategy-- you'll hear so many different "you have to do it this way" or "this is actually the best", and you know what? Maybe it is great. I can only tell you what I don't love, what has failed me, and why I love what I do with such passion. That's exactly why I started making my digital step by step guides for you, and why I'm getting ready to launch a full, fool proof, start to finish and everything in between guide for this exact frame. You don't just need a recipe, you need a game plan.
As I create these guides, I literally think "if I were going to justify this purchase to my partner (aka husband), what would I need to make a great pitch?" I'd want a trusted voice recommending the product, a guide on how to use it, help with how to navigate clients & inquiries, design ideas plus step by step instructions AND pricing suggestions/guidance. All from someone that has the actual experience because they've done it themselves.
As a mom with littles, I need this space for a creative outlet, but I also have to prioritize my role as mama first. Finding the balance is hard and feels nearly impossible most days. But I'm here to show you there IS a way, because I've done it myself. I want you to find all the success I have and win! That being said, The Arch Guide isn't quite finished, but it is almost ready to make its big debut! You can expect it to launch by the end of June:) And in the meantime, make sure to check out my favorite frame and if you decide to go for it, use my code BLOOM10 for 10% off your order!
