Simple & sweet balloon decor can still make a party super special!
I am a firm believer that just because a celebration is small, on a budget, or planned by a lover of simple, it can still include decor that stuns! None of those things should stand in the way of having something festive & fun to make the moment feel extra special. In fact, that's exactly what our family celebrations look like!
Over the years, I have learned that I personally LOVE a balloon garland, but a desert bar, treat wall and table setup? Not my vibe at all. We thrive on pizza, snacks, a pinata, and a grocery store cake in our house! And honestly, learning to lean into my personal preferences as a business has been one of the most empowering things. Idon't necessarily turn down booking balloons for big over the top events, but more so like to focus on my specialty: accessible & affordable, aka grab & go balloons!
That is why I love this design so much. A table cloth, some ribbon, a few foil balloons + glue dots, and neutral balloons with stunning florals?! Gender Reveal PERFECTION! A client can totally pick this up and easily install, and I can keep the price more affordable because I never have to leave home.
That is why I love the aluminum frames I share. They are strong, sturdy and perform exceptionally well. They are also versatile and can be used as intended or interchanged. The options to get creative are seriously there! Like this question mark frame-- it can also be a full circle, used with a slip cover for a solid circle, a moon, even as a frame for a balloon tree!
You will always hear me say, I wish I could go back in time and skip the wood props because these are so much better! I wish I invested in these from day 1 because, dang, it would have been so much easier. Ugh.
Frequent questions I hear often:
"Does the client keep the frame?"
"Do you charge a fee for the frame?"
"What are your rules for returning it?"
No! This is not a disposable frame (aka it costs more than $10) so it absolutely needs to be returned. I work the price of the frame rental into the job if it's structurally dependent on the frame, like the question mark or a freestanding or arch frame. If it's a piece that is more of an accessory, like a chiara wall or floral horns, I do charge a small rental fee. I keep it small because I want a client to use my props instead of DIY'ing or buying a cheap one. More than anything, I know that my prop inventory is high end and going to do the job at the level I expect it to, which means my client gets the best experience I can offer. I also can style the balloons to it and take a finished look picture, plus close ups for them to reference as they set it up at home. It's a win win all around.
Typical fees for a frame plus cover (the high end custom cover made for the stand!) start at about $45, floral horns are $75 each, floral walls around $200. I will also rent these alone if someone inquires, including other local artists:) As for returning anything, I ask that it come back within 2-3 days because I know how exhausting an event can be and that extra time can make a HUGE difference for someone! I won't typically pick up from the client to collect, but if I know I'll be their area, I might offer a courtesy porch pickup. Those are the little things that bring the client back to you again and again!
Alright, you can find the question mark frame here, and my code BLOOM10 will save you 10%!
Cheers friends!
